I would make it feel thoughtful, informed and confident rather than overly promotional, with the Junior Magazine feature as the opening and the larger message being that trust should never replace scrutiny.
Today, Bare la Terre was featured in Junior Magazine, and we are incredibly honoured to see our young brand recognised by a publication that has long understood families, children and the choices parents make for them.
It also felt like an important moment to reflect on something that sits at the very heart of why we created Bare la Terre in the first place.
We live in a world where we are surrounded by products, recommendations, trends and increasingly persuasive marketing. As parents, it is very easy to find a brand we like, trust its philosophy, and assume that every product carrying its name has been created to the same standard.
But that is not always the case. A brand is not an ingredient list.
Different products from the same company can have entirely different formulations, different active ingredients, different preservatives, different fragrances and different purposes. One product may be beautifully formulated for your child, while another product from that very same brand may contain ingredients you would personally prefer not to use.
This does not necessarily make a brand “good” or “bad”. It simply reminds us that, as consumers and particularly as parents, we should remain curious about what we are buying.
We should look at the ingredients. We should understand what a product is designed to do. We should ask whether a formulation is genuinely appropriate for the age and skin of the person using it, rather than assuming that attractive packaging or a familiar name is enough.
Children’s skin deserves that additional consideration because it is still growing and developing, and the skincare habits they form today may stay with them for many years.
Bare la Terre was born from this exact conversation.
We are mothers, working alongside dermatologists, and our starting point has always been remarkably simple: would we put this on our own children’s skin?
For us, the answer has to be an unequivocal yes.
We are perhaps a little obsessive about it, but we believe we should be. Every ingredient, every formulation and every product is considered through the lens of young, developing skin. We do not want parents to have to stand in a bathroom turning over a Bare la Terre bottle wondering whether this particular product is the one they need to investigate more closely.
Our ambition is that the Bare la Terre name itself represents a consistent standard of care.
That does not mean asking parents to stop reading labels. Quite the opposite. We want to help raise a generation of families who understand what they are putting on their skin, who ask better questions, and who know that choosing skincare should not simply be about following what is fashionable.
It should be about understanding what our children actually need.
That is why recognition from Junior Magazine means so much to us. Bare la Terre began as a conversation between mothers, daughters and a dermatologist about what was missing for this extraordinary age between childhood and adolescence.
To see that conversation growing is something we are immensely proud of.
And as we grow, our promise remains the same: to create products with the level of care, scrutiny and intention that we expect for our own children.
Because when it comes to the skin they will wear for life, we believe every ingredient matters.
