Our Mission

In 2024, two sets of friends - mothers Elise and Nicola, and daughters Mia and Nahla - decided to solve a problem. The market was full of brands that spoke Mia and Nahla’s language with vibrant colors and fun names, but beneath the surface, they lacked the safety and integrity their mothers required for young, diverse skin.

They set out to reimagine what kid-friendly skincare could and should be: a brand that made parents and kids equally happy. They invited dermatologist and fellow mum Dr. Mariana to join the team, ensuring every product is 100% kid-safe and specialist-approved. With the girls as the creative spark and the parents handling the science and sustainability, they created a brand that’s fun to use, looks great on your shelf, and is trusted by parents.

Bare la Terre is what happens when parents and children join forces.

Our Story:

Skincare Born of Curiosity

Bare la Terre was inspired by our firsthand experience as parents to Gen Alpha children—a generation that is increasingly well-informed, independent, and eager to make their own thoughtful choices. As we watched them grow, we faced a simple, frustrating truth in the skincare aisle: the options for children were deeply flawed.

The market offered only extremes: either bland, baby-focused products or adult formulations disguised in bright, kid-friendly packaging, often containing ingredients too harsh, or even harmful, for delicate young skin. Parents felt forced to choose between safety and the joy of using beautifully branded products with quality ingredients.

The question that sparked it all came directly from our own kids: "Why isn't there something fun, safe, and made just for our skin?

The Solution:

The Solution: Bare la Terre is Born

Recognizing this profound lack of options, we decided to create the change ourselves. Bare la Terre was born from the commitment to build a brand where families never have to compromise.

We became the first to speak directly to this new generation while giving parents complete peace of mind. We did this by co-creating every product with two crucial voices:

  1. A leading dermatologist (and parent) to ensure formulations are meticulously safe, gentle, and effective for children's skin.
  2. Our children and their peers to ensure the brand is fun, engaging, and genuinely desirable for kids.

The Bare la Terre Difference:

Safety, Joy, and Sustainability

What truly differentiates Bare la Terre is our uncompromising approach to ingredients. Many existing brands that appeal to children overload products with chemicals and trendy active ingredients—like Vitamin C, Retinol, or harsh exfoliants—that are unsafe and unnecessary for younger users.

The magic of Bare la Terre is in its thoughtful simplicity. We strip everything back to the essentials a child’s skin truly needs: gentle hydration, protection from environmental stressors, and appropriate sun care. Our products are as nature-based, specifically formulated for children, hypoallergenic, and manufactured in the United Kingdom with the highest safety standards.

For Mia and Nahla, environmental responsibility isn’t just a choice, it is an integral part of who they are. That’s why at Bare la Terre, the planet is a stakeholder in every decision we make. From sourcing nature-led ingredients to selecting biodegradable or 100% recyclable packaging, we are committed to a gentle footprint. We’re doing our part today to ensure their generation inherits a world that is healthier, greener, and better than we found it.
