Elise Som
Co Founder
Elise Som is the co founder of Bare la Terre, a skin health and personal care brand created for the in between years.
In 2024, Elise and fellow mother Nicola Takada Wood, together with their daughters Nahla and Mia, began questioning what was being offered to young people. Children were growing out of baby products while being drawn into adult skincare routines their developing skin simply did not need. Bare la Terre was created to offer another way: simple, thoughtful products designed around the real needs of young skin, developed with dermatological expertise and made with equal consideration for the planet children will inherit.
With a background in sustainability, design and entrepreneurship, Elise brings a long term perspective to the brand, asking not only what is safe and appropriate for children today, but what kind of habits, products and world we want to leave them tomorrow. She writes about young skin, conscious parenting, sustainability and why growing up should not mean growing into a ten step routine but more into helping the younger generations building confidence.
